“He kind of shoots out of the cannon when he hits the hole. He’s got very good hands. I thought he did a very good job in his pass protection, which keeps him on the field all three downs.” – General Manager Jeff Ireland, The Palm Beach Post
Lamar Miller is our top breakout candidate for the 2013 NFL and Fantasy Football season. This is a player that I have been preaching about since the start of our off-season ranking summits and you have probably noticed me drop his name once or twice as well during our weekly radio podcast show here at snudaysareforfootball.com or on smcradio.com.
Lamar Miller RB MIA, is the main reason in our opinion, and a few others around the fantasy and NFL football community for the easy release of Reggie Bush and I can understand why after looking through the tape. Miller is a much better back overall then Bush in terms of size to speed, being a 3 down back, and also having a proto typical body type to that of Doug Martin which we loved going into 2012 and I can see Miller being that type of back for Miami.
Being a third down back really brings alot of light to this scenario in the part that in the past Reggie Bush was never a third down back. Daniel Thomas was believed to fill this void but Miller has really emerged and the hype has already started. The owner and GM are loving this guy and the talent he brings to the field.
The ADP report on Lamar Miller right now is for RBs off the board at best we have seen him go 18th and as worst as 35th. Reggie Bush has a 14/31 split right now but with his value really being more of a special teams approach for the Lions we can see those numbers dip in the coming weeks.
SAFF_Fantasy Look for this guy early. Map and coordinate your draft to get this guy. If you dont get him trade for him and for you dynasty players this player is a must.
